Communication Plans
Background: ESWL is the use of shock waves to blast kidney stones in the body. It might sound extreme but it is the only non-invasive kidney stone treatment and any pain can be managed by ibuprofen. So, you would think this treatment would be well known and popular among kidney stone sufferers, but the opposite is true. And, the monotonous and noisy procedure is not favored by a new generation of doctors who would prefer using lasers to eliminate kidney stones. ESWL has many benefits for patients and doctors, though, and this digital marketing communications plan focused on highlighting those advantages, at little or no cost to Dornier MedTech.
Background:
The employee engagement survey at Nemours Children's Health System revealed high dissatisfaction with internal communications that was impacting employee morale, engagement and even retention. This plan resulted in a complete overhaul of internal communications: revamping the communications paradigm for more two-way dialogue between senior leaders and employees, rich media channels, more frequent manager communications and a simplification (reducing overload) of corporate emails.
At Manhattan Associates, I was tasked with creating a world-class internal communications strategy. Due to an NDA, I cannot share that plan but I can share elements of it.
Background: Manhattan's diverse employee base included many who did not take the time to read long-form narrative information from Leadership and HR. I researched digital monitor solutions and developed and deployed 50+ monitors globally. Part of the deployment included training regional personnel who would create location-specific slides and videos. And, HR and Leadership needed to understand this powerful channel and how it could contribute to employee engagement. This plan was one part of the training, intended to be an overview of the capabilities of the system and how to use it strategically.
